Basha and his family own a 3-hectare coffee farm in Bombe village, Sidama, Ethiopia. They grow the 74160 coffee variety known for CBD resistance and distinct citrus-floral notes. Basha manages a 9-hectare plantation and employs 7 full-time staff (45 during harvest). They cultivate 74158 coffee under native shade trees, hand-picking and sorting cherries for quality. Cherries undergo a 24-hour barrel seal and 28-30 days of shade drying. The farm gate price for their coffee is $5.00/lb, reflecting their commitment to quality and sustainability.
