Redemption Roaster’s classic espresso blend The Block has notes of milk chocolate, caramel and hazelnut, with a little dried fruit sweetness reminiscent of raisins and is sourced from Brazil and Guatemala. Its rich, creamy body makes for a delicious espresso both with and without milk.
RR’s Guatemalan element is sourced from FEDECOCAGUA, a cooperative organisation with 20,000 members. 70% of the members of this co-operative are from indigenous groups from various regions across Guatemala.
RR’s Brazilian component comes from Patricia Coelho’s farm, who grows coffee at her higher altitude farm in the Mogiana region. Collaborating with Patricia Coelho aligns with one of our three core sourcing principles of female empowerment. This is their second year working with Patricia, and has enabled us to develop a strong working relationship.
